Choosing a good web host for your blog is the main concern if you’re planning to be a professional blogger. And experts are of the opinion that it’s the major factor of your success as well. As important it is, it’s also difficult for one to select the best one, but if you’ve outlined particular criteria, it becomes quite easy. Here’s a short overview of how can you make your choice best:

Reliability: Keep it as basic requisite, as it matters a lot. You must ensure that your data is in safe hands.

Research: A variety of hosts is available online, but it’s you who has to find one that best meets your requirements. Search and ask people about their experience with some of the hosts. It’ll clear things up for you.

Avoid Scams: There are many hosting services that offer resellers, and those resellers claim their selves as a hosting company. Such reseller hostings may be not that reliable. Some other hosting services buy reviews, so avoid scams by asking directly to the people about their experience.

Don’t Buy Bulk Hosting: If you’re not sure about any service or it’s your first time, go for trial, or test it for a month or so, don’t pay for 3 or so years to get discount.

Maintain Quality: If you’re going for some cheap hosting, be sure that quality is good. And in case you don’t get one, paying a little more can serve well.

Video Blogging or Podcasting is the rocking blogging field now a days, so you must give your blog a video touch if you’re not going for a specific video blog, i.e. have clips added to your blog posts. Youtube can better serve you, but having unique videos will work more.

What you need to do is to invest in a good camera with high resolution and output. It’s for people who are professional bloggers and really want to make their blog a trend setter or a leading one in the industry. Capture the picture and let the be live on your blog. Lights are very crucial in creating videoblog. Quality of picture should be good so that readers can feel better.

You can also make your video better through some video editing software and can add sounds and picture as you like and delete whatever you do not want. Some of the programs are user friendly and can be use without any professional knowledge.

Creativity will play vital role here so you need to be creative as well. Th more creative you are the easier and faster your video blogging will be for you. It can be a bit negative also, i.e. load on sever, but managing your blog professionally can make it more reader oriented and later will provide you with good monetization options as well.

It’s time for you to have a blog of your own. It’s none too difficult now to have a blog, and rock the World Wide Web with it. The most important issue in this regard that almost every emerging blogger is confused at is having a free hosted blog or one with paid hosting.

I think both are effective and have some advantages and disadvantages as well. Let’s start from free hosting. It’s something you just have to blog and blog about things you want to have your say on. No need to care about technical issues as they all are solved at hosts end. While when you’ve your own domain hosted for a particular amount, you’re to manage it as a whole.

It seems that free hosting goes well, but the major problem is on free hosting you can’t well monetize your blog, as most of free hostings do not allow such scripts. Besides that free hosting is just like a rented place. You’re not the owner, and the real owner can ask you any time to vacant his domain.

It’s whole up to you to decide, what you’re more comfortable with!

The fever of Google penalization is still extremeous. Though some are out of it, but many are still on the way to mend their backlinks and strategies of course. Lizza posted a link on v7n Forums, and on exploring the link here I’ve come to know that the site owners who paid for the blogposts are now trying to get their link removed that they’ve got in those particular blogs via Pay Per Post and similar sort of sites.

This is absolutely to remove the paid link tag, but the point to ponder is that, will this thing lead to shrink the paid links economy. I don’t think so it’ll do so, but yes, it will at least be a threat for PAy Per Post and similar sites, as bloggers and link sellers do have other ways to sell links and buyers also know the non disclosure thing.

Well, whatever it is, but coming to know that people are paying for the removal of link, i wished I could have at least 10 such links on my blog! lolz!

While exploring the avenues of Internet Marketing, I’ve come across emerging concepts, some just buzzing the World Wide Web, while other leaving no impression and just disappearing from the screen. The life of the concept of course depends entirely on the demand and supply principles and partly changing trends and techniques.

One of these emerging concepts is Social Media Marketing, frequently misused by masses. What actually is the purpose of Social Media Marketing is to keep close connections with societies that has deployed to some extent with the emergence of technologies. This is extremely needed as whatever you’re marketing is solely for masses. Well, that’s a little off topic if I happen to comment on the ethical approaches that are must for SMM. Coming back to the topic, I’ve found an interesting image describing the importance of each tool of Social Media Marketing from http://www.audreycarr.ca . I was in fact searching for a graphical description of Social Media Marketing and how does it work. SO what I’ve outlined out of this image is:

In order to make a constructive use of Social Media rely more on the high potential components, and the potential according to the image, is as follows:

Social Networks

Blogging & Video Sharing

Social Bookmarking & Collaborative Ranking

Podcasts & Wikis

User Reviews & Rating System.
